Microsoft publishes Dynamics AX case study for SAGlobal client,Computer Aid

We’re very excited to announce that Microsoft has published a case study detailing a recent Microsoft Dynamics AX implementation that we did for Computer Aid.  SAGlobal worked with Computer Aid to deploy the Microsoft Dynamics AX Services industry solution (formerly known as Microsoft Dynamics AX PSA) to manage their accounting, project management, and time and expense management processes.  The case study does a great job of illustrating the business benefits that professional services organizations can achieve through the adoption of Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Headquartered in Allentown, PA and with roughly 3,000 employees and associates worldwide, Computer Aid provides IT services to Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies around the world.  Computer Aid specializes in providing outsourcing solutions, legacy support services, application development, desktop services and managed staffing services.

As explained in the case study, Computer Aid has realized the following benefits by implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX:

  • Their billing cycle time was reduced by 50%, resulting in acceleration of cash flow.
  • Their delinquent timesheets were reduced to less than 1% of all timesheets collected, resulting in improved visibility of project costs and budgets.
  • IT support costs were reduced by over $400,000 per year, resulting in a lower ongoing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of their IT systems.
  • A self-service business intelligence model was deployed using data cubes and Excel PowerPivot, providing enhanced reporting and analysis capabilities to key employees and eliminating 250 spreadsheets that were manually updated for reporting purposes.
