Rich CFO Overview workspace leverages abundant and powerful insight in today’s businesses
New to the July 2017 Dynamics 365 is the ability for a CFO or accounting manager full visibility of their business within the CFO Overview workspace. This is one of the richest workspaces including common KPI’s and embedded analytics showcasing financials, purchasing, sales and cash flow data. This new feature allows a CFO the ability to look-up any needed KPI’s, down to the lowest level of detail.
The workspace can be accessed through the Dynamics 365 for Operations dashboard. It includes different views of general journal entries, such as journals posted this period, journals posted previous period, and any unposted journals. The workspace also provides the ability to enter, post, and approve journal entries in addition to commonly used inquiries such as Trial balance.
The CFO overview Power BI content is a composite of reports from various other Power BI content, together with some actual and budget balances from General ledger. Therefore, this Power BI content gives the chief financial officer (CFO) an overview of the organization.
