Leading A&E Firm selects Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and SAGlobal
We are thrilled to announce another new Dynamics AX client in the Architecture & Engineering space. Leading multi-disciplinary engineering firm WHPacific has recently selected Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 as their new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software system. SAGlobal and WHPacific will begin working together immediately to replace several of WHPacific’s existing business systems from Deltek with a new integrated Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 platform.
Based in Anchorage, Alaska, and with 400 employees in 16 offices throughout the western United States, WHPacific is the largest 100% Native American-owned A&E firm in the country. WHPacific provides services in all aspects of architecture, engineering, surveying, land development, transportation, environmental, energy and water resources. Key WHPacific markets include aviation, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, commercial, residential, renewable energy and transportation, as well as serving the federal market.
In describing their decision, Morgan Kramm (VP of Project Delivery for WHPacific) explained “WHPacific takes pride in delivering innovative engineering solutions to our clients. To do this, it is imperative that we provide our team members with tools to effectively manage our projects and deliver outstanding value to our clients. In looking for a new business software platform, we evaluated several systems that were designed for the Architecture & Engineering market. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 rose to the top based on its modern design, its strong functionality, and its tight integration with other Microsoft technologies that we use. We partnered with Systems Advisors Group based on their knowledge of our business and their experience in working with other firms in our industry.”
Microsoft Dynamics AX is used by more than 17,000 organizations around the world to manage their day-to-day operations. The Dynamics AX “Services Industry Solution” provides an industry-specific ERP platform for Architecture & Engineering firms and other project-driven organizations, helping them to manage their finances, clients, projects, and resources all through a single easy-to-use business system.
In addition to the core Microsoft Dynamics AX solution, SAGlobal will also be implementing the Advanced Projects solution from Adeaca. Advanced Projects provides best-in-class project management and project accounting functionality inside of Dynamics AX for organizations where project execution is a key focus. SAGlobal will also be providing WHPacific with its ProjAX (now known as Projects+) extensions to Dynamics AX. ProjAX (now known as Projects+) adds a number of A&E specific features to Dynamics AX such as Qualification Management, Subcontractor Compliance Tracking, and other tools.
SAGlobal and WHPacific will deploy Microsoft Dynamics AX as the organization’s core business management system. WHPacific will use Microsoft Dynamics AX for its Financial Management, Project Management & Accounting, Human Resource Management and Customer Relationship Management processes. Through this implementation, WHPacific looks forward to enhancing visibility across their business, gaining efficiencies within their core business processes, and providing stakeholders with improved access to critical business information.
