We, at SAGlobal Serbia just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a Happy New Year. Many of us had taken off to spend time with family and to reflect on the past year.
The past year has been amazing and on this brightest day of the year, we wish for all of you to remain healthy and safe, and experience good days in your life.
As the leading partner in the region, SAGlobal Africa partnered with Microsoft at the inaugural Agro IT Days 2017 event held on November 28, 2017 in Rabat, Morocco. Organized by the Department of Agriculture, the event was organized around the theme of leveraging digital transformation for development in the agri-business.
SAGlobal and Microsoft focussed on how digital transformation is being driven through new technologies across all areas of the agricultural production value chain and modern agri-business with positive impacts on their economic growth and environmental performance. The focus was on how new technological trends are now essential tools to ensure the competitiveness of players in the field of agriculture and agribusiness.
“There isn’t a single industry that isn’t being transformed,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella told those gathered at Microsoft Ignite, an annual gathering of Microsoft customers, partners, and technology industry professionals. “We collectively have the opportunity to lead in this transformation.” This was the central message from Satya Nadella at Ignite, and it’s difficult to disagree with him.
Digital transformation cannot be thought of without technology being a part of it. The past few years have witnessed the emergence of technological platforms, tools and packages that have enabled business leaders to view their setup and strategies in a new light. If you are driving your organization towards digital transformation, then embracing technologies that support you to make the shift is imperative.
The world in which today’s organizations operate is changing faster than ever in the new digital-first age. This change is driving the emergence of disruptive new business models, and forcing organizations to reimagine how they will create value in the future. The technologies, or digital disruptors, that are enabling this evolution lie at the intersection of the four megatrends of our time: the cloud, mobile, social and big data.
